Spiced Rum

Four-year-aged, molasses-based, spiced rum, aged in American oak once-charred barrels. Blended with natural vanilla, nutmeg, clove, orange, and exotic island spices.

Some spiced rums are merely colored, not aged; but this nut-brown spirit is made from a base of rum aged for four years in oak barrels. In that context, the substantial, oaky flavor makes perfect sense, rounded out by vanilla, dusty nutmeg and allspice. Mix with cola or ginger ale.

Bumbo

2 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz water

1 sugar cube

Sprinkle .25 teaspoon to taste of cinnamon

Sprinkle .25 teaspoon to taste of nutmeg

 

Mix together in rocks glass. Serve straight up without ice.


Coquito (Variant 1)

3 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

 

Pour over ice in rocks glass. Stir to combine. Garnish with grated nutmeg and cinnamon.


Fall in to Rum

1.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.5 oz Rye Whiskey

Top with fresh apple cider

Cinnamon tincture (optional)

 

Serve over ice in highball. Garnish with lemon wedge.


Fancy Pants (Variant 1)

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz Pama Pomegranate liquor

LaLuca Prosecco

 

Add all ingredients to wine glass with ice. Stir gently to combine and garnish with pomegranate arils.


Ginger Sidecar

1.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz Canton ginger liquor

.5 oz fresh lemon juice

 

Shake with ice and strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with lemon twist.


Island Sidecar

1.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz dry curaçao

.5 fresh lemon juice

 

Shake with ice. Strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with lemon twist, sugar rim optional.


Mango Mojito

1.5 oz Shipwreck Mango Rum

.5 oz lime juice

10-15 mint leaves

Club soda

 

Add first three ingredients into shaker with ice. Shake and strain into highball with fresh ice.   Top with club soda. Garnish with mint, lime wheel, and linen suit.

Shipwreck Mango Rum can be replaced with Shipwreck Coconut Rum, Shipwreck Vanilla Rum, Shipwreck Lime Rum, or Shipwreck Spiced Rum.

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.5 oz Cognac

.5 oz lemon juice

.5 oz Meletti 1870

 

Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with lemon twist.

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz pomegranate juice

LaLuca Prosecco

 

Pour ingredients into a flute. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with pomegranate arils.


Painkilla

1 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

Top with fresh nutmeg

 

Stir and pour over the rocks. Our upscale version of the classic Tiki favorite.


Planter’s Punch

1.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.5 oz lime juice

1 oz pineapple juice

.5 oz orange juice

.25 oz grenadine

 

Shake with ice until chilled. Strain into rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with pineapple wedge and mint sprig.


Rhu the Day

1.25 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum
.5 oz fresh lime juice
Top with Fever-Tree ginger beer
3-4 dashes rhubarb bitters

Add ingredients into highball with ice.


Sailor's Delight

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum

2 oz orange juice

2 oz pineapple juice

2 dashes grenadine

5-8 dashes Angostura Bitters

 

Shake all ingredients with ice except for bitters, and strain into a hurricane glass with fresh pebble ice. Top with bitters.


Snakes on a Plane

1.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.25 oz fresh lemon juice

Hard cider

Add first two ingredients into glass with ice, top with cider. Garnish with cinnamon stick.


Spiced Sour

1.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.75 oz lemon juice

.25 oz simple syrup

Egg white (optional)

Angostura bitters

 

Add first four ingredients into shaker without ice and shake hard for 10 seconds. Add ice into shaker and shake hard again. Double strain into rocks glass with fresh ice. Top with 4-5 healthy dashes of Angostura bitters.


Spiked Hot Chocolate

• 2 oz Meletti Cioccolato
• 1 oz Shipwreck Vanilla Rum
• 0.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum
• Cinnamon, Cayenne, Sea Salt to Taste

Combine all ingredients & warm in a saucepan over low heat or microwave on low in small increments of 10 seconds at a time until desired temperature. Garnish with cinnamon, cayenne, or sea salt to taste.


St. Kitts Palmetto

2 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz Meletti Amaro

5 dashes orange bitters

Stir in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange twist.


Thanksgiving Jawn

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.5 oz Deep Eddy Cranberry Vodka

3 oz cranberry juice

.25 oz thyme simple syrup

1 dash The Bitter Truth celery bitters

Shake with ice. Strain into highball with fresh ice. Garnish with thyme spring and lemon wheel. Eat with turkey.


Wreck’d and Stormy

1.5 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.25 oz lime juice

Ginger beer

Add first two ingredients into glass with ice (copper mug if you’re fancy), and top with ginger beer. Garnish with lime wedge.


Your Tai

.75 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

.75 oz Shipwreck Mango Rum

.75 oz Rhum Agricole

1 oz lime juice

.5 oz Velvet Falernum

5-7 dashes Angostura Bitters

 

Shake first five ingredients with ice. Strain into a highball glass with crushed ice. Top with 5-7 dashes of bitters.


Zombie

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

1 oz Shipwreck White Reserve Rum

.75 oz Falernum

.5 oz overproof rum

1 teaspoon absinthe

.5 oz fresh lime juice

.5oz grapefruit juice

.25 grenadine

 

Shake all ingredients with ice, and pour into glass with used ice. Garnish with leis, edible flowers, and kitsch.
