Vermentino
Monteverro’s Vermentino is the winery’s first venture with indigenous Italian varietals. New vineyard plantings of a centuries-old indigenous grape are painstakingly cared for to yield a delicate and well-balanced white. Extreme care is taken in the cellar as well resulting in a wine with juicy, ripe pear and melon notes, elegant floral nuances, and a touch of smokiness. Rich and textured, it is complex and expressive with generous fruit flavors from fermenting on the fine lees. The finish is long, mineral driven, and bursting with vibrant acidity. Excellent with spicy, ethnic cuisine, particularly Indian or Thai.
