American Tawnya Falkner took the leap, gave up her career as a designer/real estate developer in California and moved to Burgundy, France to follow her passion for wine. She saw a gap in the sparkling wine category and an opportunity to create an affordable luxury to embody the French spirit of ‘Joie de Vivre’ and both elevate and celebrate life’s every day moments.
Her vision to create an affordable everyday luxury resulted in Le Grand Courtâge and Très Chic, award-winning French wines with appealing, modern character and elegant packaging.
Le Grand Courtâge offers a non-vintage Vin Mousseux sourced from notable terroirs such as Burgundy, Languedoc and Loire Valley in France. Each varietal is fermented separately at cool temperatures to produce a crisp, fruit-forward finish. Once blended, the cuvée remains sur lie during the prise de mousse (secondary fermentation), filtration and the addition of the dosage.
