Monvigliero makes some of the most elegant wines in the appellation, and luckily, many more expressions of this cru site are on the market now; so, you can really get your fill. The finish is silky and not too long on the mid-palate, but that subtle texture gives this wine an especially food-friendly approach.

Very spicy, this red is also light in color and weight, lending an ethereal quality to its supple texture. Sandalwood, cedar, licorice, raspberry and cherry flavors persist, with hints of rose and hibiscus. Firm and long.

Transparent and mineral with some clove, dried orange peel, savory cranberries and tamarind to the nose. Linear, medium-bodied on the palate with fine tannins.
