Bianco

The name Dogajolo was invented by Carpineto’s founders, derived from the Italian word doga, meaning “stave” — the narrow strips of wood used to form oak casks. A medium-bodied white with pleasant citrus aromas and flavors, Carpineto Dogajolo Bianco is a young, fresh wine with a balanced acidity and clean, delicate finish. Produced from estate-grown fruit from the Montepulciano estate, each varietal is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks.

White peach and pink grapefruit on the nose lead to a palate of more citrus and grapefruit candy, with the astringency of grapefruit pith lending a sophisticated bite to the finish.

“Elegant nose of lemon peel, fruit cocktail, honeysuckle, cucumber, and green herbs. Medium-bodied on the palate with orchard fruit and white pepper coming forward; citrus, honeydew melon, and a fresh acidity last and last on a fresh finish.”
